What do I say next?
Does this sound familiar?
You care deeply about your clients but sometimes feel that internal flicker of 'What do I say next?'
You talk too much when unsure. Clients stay guarded. You reach for your modality before the relational safety is there. Silence feels uncomfortable.
You leave sessions wondering if you missed something.
This is not a lack of care. It is a training gap and it is more common than most practitioners are even fully aware of.
Before the modality, the relationship.
The foundation beneath everything you do.
This is where most training stops. This is where the work begins.
Active listening is not instinctive. It is a regulated, embodied skill.
When listening is truly developed, clients feel safer. Conversations go deeper. Your sessions feel steadier, clearer and more connected.
Before any technique is applied, the client's nervous system must feel safe. And safety is built relationally.
Through listening. Through presence. Through how you hold the space before you do anything else.
This course builds that foundation beneath every modality you already use.
Listening is a regulated skill.
Inside this course, you will develop:
- Active listening micro-skills used with confidence and presence
- Whole Body Listening and nervous system aware practice
- How to stay present with clients who are shut down, dissociative or highly activated
- Pacing, timing and knowing when to deepen or hold back
- Pattern recognition - hearing what lies beneath the narrative
- Rupture, repair and how misattunement can actually deepen trust
- How cultural background shapes the way people experience being heard
- How to apply these skills beyond the therapy room
This is what becomes possible when listening changes...
When a person feels genuinely heard, something settles.
Breathing softens. Shoulders drop.
The nervous system signals: 'I am safe here.'
This is where the real work begins.

From Josie and Andrea:
”
This course exists because we kept seeing the same gap. Practitioners who care deeply, who are beautifully trained in their modality, but who haven't had the space to truly develop the relational layer underneath it. That is what this course is for.
This isn't a lecture. It's not theory-heavy. And it's not a collection of quick tips. Each video is a genuine conversation between us, shaped by many years of experience, both as therapists working with clients and as individuals who have spent time in the client chair ourselves.

What Becomes Possible
”
Practitioners who complete this course describe feeling more settled in session - less focused on what to say next, and more genuinely present with their clients.
”
Something settles when listening becomes truly regulated. Sessions feel steadier, clients open more readily, and the work goes deeper before any technique is introduced.
”
Practitioners often describe the nervous system and cultural awareness content as the piece they did not know they were missing. It changes how they listen at the most fundamental level.
